Job summary

Sur La Table in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Culinary Lead, FT, to inspire customers through expert cooking instruction, team leadership, and a customer-first approach. You will oversee the culinary program, drive class growth, and ensure exceptional service across kitchen and retail spaces.

This role requires culinary experience, leadership ability, and a passion for teaching. Expect to manage classes, mentor staff, and collaborate with store leadership to deliver a best-in-class guest experience.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of kitchen management experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team.
• Lead, coach, and inspire associates to exceed performance expectations.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback; escalate issues to GM/Store Manager.
• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture with memorable, educational experiences for guests.
• Ensure outstanding cooking class experiences by following recipes and plans.
• Collaborate with store leadership to increase foot traffic and store engagement through classes and private events.
• Foster a Guest Obsessed culture on both kitchen and retail floors.
• Analyze KPI metrics daily and leverage insights to drive sales and program goals.
