Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook to prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items for meals and events. Work in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring safety, quality, and sanitation while maintaining an organized workstation. The role supports delivering an exceptional dining experience and teamwork with the kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to guidelines to ensure high‑quality service.
• Follow recipes and directions for soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and more.
• Estimate production needs and requisition supplies and equipment.
• Significant walking or mobility required.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds (occasionally 50).
• Perform repetitive motions and maintain a clean workstation.
• Attend shifts on time and support client requirements.
• Other duties as assigned across accounts.
