Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook to prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for all meals and events following culinary standards. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring safety, accuracy, and cleanliness while supporting team cooperation.

The role requires up to 2 years of kitchen experience, ability to read recipes, and adherence to food safety guidelines. Full-time hours with varied shifts are available in a Sodexo dining environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards to ensure high-quality food service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving items.
• Taste products, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs and client requirements.
