Job summary

Sur La Table is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage guests, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen for a variety of classes and services. You will help deliver memorable experiences, assist with class setup and breakdown, and contribute to a guest-obsessed culture on the floor and in the kitchen.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards across a fast-paced retail and instructional environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older at time of employment.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Assist chefs with class execution that drives repeat visits and positive customer feedback.
• Deliver class revenue goals by ensuring high enrollment, positive reviews, and guest return rates.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and support mise en place to keep classes running smoothly.
