Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage with guests, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen area. You will help create memorable experiences, assist with class operations, and contribute to a guest-obsessed service culture on the floor and in the kitchen.

The role emphasizes teamwork, hospitality, and a passion for cooking, with availability that fits a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Food prep and/or kitchen operations experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Assist chefs with class execution that drives repeat visits and positive customer feedback.
• Deliver class revenue goals by ensuring high enrollment, positive reviews, and guest return rates.
• Assist in setting up and breakdown of classes including organizing mise en place, prepping ingredients, and cleaning workstations.
