Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs during classes and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will engage with guests, assist with mise en place, restock supplies, and help drive class enrollment and customer satisfaction. A minimum of 1 year in retail or food prep is preferred, plus a valid Food Handler Certification; flexible 12–16 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable educational experiences for guests.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive enrollment and positive feedback.
• Clean and sanitize dishes and equipment; ensure kitchen is organized and compliant with safety standards.
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies; support accurate record-keeping and cost control.
