Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Intervention Cardiology Registered Nurse (RN) for the CTICU C-4 Cardiothoracic Unit at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. This full-time night shift role focuses on critical care nursing, with responsibilities including comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and coordination with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 120 days of hire; CCRN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• ACLS completed within 120 days of hire
• CCR N preferred
• 2 years' experience in Critical Care Nursing, ICU or ED preferred
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients and families
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments and hands-on care
• Serve as clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers
• Provide clear, compassionate patient and family education
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions
• Support a collaborative team environment and ongoing professional growth
