RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Assistant Director of Patient Care (RN) for the Coronary Care Unit at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. This salaried, night-shift leadership role supports staff, oversees care delivery, and drives excellence in patient outcomes.

The role requires NJ RN license, BLS; ACLS within 120 days; CCRN preferred; ASN required with BSN preferred; 1–2 years CCU/ICU/ED experience; EPIC EMR familiarity.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• AHA BLS certification required on hire.
• ACLS must be completed within 120 days of hire; CCRN preferred.
• 1–2 years of Critical Care Nursing experience (ICU/ED) preferred.
• EMR experience with EPIC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within Nurse Practice Act scope and ANA standards.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the care team with supervision.
• Report safety issues and maintain patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with other care providers to meet patient needs.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
