Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Float Critical Care team in Newark, NJ. This full-time Day shift role requires adaptability across ICU/CCU/CTICU/IMCU units, high-acuity patient care, and strong teamwork.

Eligible candidates must hold an active NJ RN license with BLS; ACLS within 120 days; CCRN preferred. ADN is required; BSN within 5 years is preferred. Minimum 2 years ICU experience and EPIC EMR proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS must be completed within 120 days of hire.
• CCRN preferred.
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing completion within 5 years of hire.
• Minimum 2 years hospital experience in ICU/CCU/CTICU/IMCU preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care across multiple high-acuity units (ICU/CCU/CTICU/IMCU).
• Administer high-risk meds, titrate drips, and manage complex IV/arterial access.
• Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record and coordinate care.
• Support patient and family education and transition of care.
