Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) required on hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days, required
• Licensure in state of practice as applicable
• IV competency within 90 days
• 3+ years CT experience preferred for Level II
• Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge and radiation safety emphasis

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in clinical and technical functions
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images
• Ensure proper patient identification and exam preparation
• Perform exams per department protocol
• Review images for quality and accuracy
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines
• Complete studies within time limits without compromising patient care
• Provide patient education and comfort
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other care providers
• Stay updated with CT tech advancements
• Instruct students and staff in protocols and equipment
