Qualifications

• ARRT competency in clinical and technical functions (R).
• Certified CT Technologist ARRT (R)(CT) preferred.
• BLS within 60 days, required.
• State licensure as applicable, required on hire.
• IV competency within 90 days required.
• For Colorado, fluoroscopy certification preferred.
• 1–2 years CT hospital experience preferred.
• Current ARRT (R) CT registration (Level II).
• Current BLS endorsed by American Heart Association (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety.
• Minimum of 3 years CT technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and ensure quality imaging.
• Ensure proper patient identification and exam preparation.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines.
• Complete studies within time limits without compromising care.
• Educate patients, ensure comfort, address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with care providers.
• Stay updated with CT technology and protocols.
• Instruct students and other technologists on protocols and equipment.
