Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a CT Technologist I to perform CT procedures according to departmental protocols and to operate scanners and related equipment with proficiency. You will prepare patients, verify orders, and assist Radiologists during exams.

You must have ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB and BLS; the role requires adherence to radiation safety standards and the ability to work varied shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry in CT within one year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and confirm with Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients and explain procedures using two patient identifiers.
• Review medical history and correlate test results with the exam.
• Perform CT scans from start to finish and obtain dictated results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol; record type and amount.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection control standards throughout procedures.
• Rotate shifts as required including call back, holidays, and weekends.
