Job summary

Advocate Health's Radiology department seeks a CT technologist to perform CT imaging, prepare patients, and ensure high-quality diagnostic results. You will work with Radiologists to verify orders, administer IV contrast, and maintain safety standards.

The role requires ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB and ARRT CT registry within one year, plus BLS. Flexible shifts including on-call responsibilities are involved with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders; refers to Radiologist for discrepancies.
• Identifies patients and prepares for procedures with explanations.
• Reviews EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history and documents requisitions.
• Manages exam from start to dictated results.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast per protocols.
• Evaluates image quality and consults Radiologist as needed.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Follows radiation safety standards and reports equipment issues.
• Rotates shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends.

Education

Graduate of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic or NMTCB program
