Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform CT imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with Radiologists and PAs. Responsibilities include patient prep, history review, contrast administration, and accurate documentation.

The role requires ARRT radiology or NMTCB certification, CT registry within one year, and BLS. The schedule includes weekend coverage and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiography or Nuclear Medicine technology is required or ARRT advanced registry CT within one year of hire.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders with Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify patient and explain procedures; prepare patient and document on worksheets.
• Review EMR for medical history and correlate results with exam being performed.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow radiation safety standards.
• Operate radiology computer system, enter orders and document contrast administration.
• Provide patient care and communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Assist in code blue procedures during emergencies.
