Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and maintain equipment per infection control standards in a collaborative radiology team.

The role requires ARRT CT and Radiography credentials, with at least 1 year radiology experience. The department emphasizes ALARA principles and smooth workflow in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsabilités

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; finalize studies in RIS/PACS and handle transfers as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.
