Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience in the Radiology department. You will perform CT procedures, ensure accurate patient IDs, and maintain safety protocols in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has ARRT certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience, with strict adherence to ALARA and patient‑centered care. This on‑site role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications are required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to ALARA.
• Disinfect rooms/equipment and report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and patient IDs.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams, administer contrast, and apply sterile technique when needed.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and maintain life-support readiness.
• Coordinate daily workflows to support department operations.
