Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality CT imaging and provide a supportive patient experience. Technologists are valued members of a collaborative care team and ensure imaging procedures meet safety and diagnostic standards.

The role requires ARRT certifications (Radiography and CT), a radiologic technology program, and at least 1 year of radiology experience, with strong emphasis on patient care and ALARA principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT; BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Clean and disinfect rooms and equipment; report issues.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two unique patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; redo as needed and release patients.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies; restock crash cart.
• Organize daily workflow; support department flow; comply with regulations.
