Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a CT Technologist for the FSED in Garland to join a leading health system. The role focuses on performing CT exams, preparing patients, and applying radiation protection measures while coordinating with radiologists on contrast use.

Requirements include state radiologic technician registration, ARRT radiographer certification, and an associate degree. The position is at our FSED with opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CAT Scan exam protocols for specific exams.
• Responsible for exam preparations and patient instructions.
• Apply radiation protection methods and shielding as necessary.
• Obtain patient history and collaborate with the Radiologist on proper contrast usage.
• Responsible for the post processing of data.
• Assist the physician as necessary for all invasive procedures to provide best patient care.

Responsibilities

• You will demonstrate knowledge of all CAT Scan exam protocols for specific exams.
• You will be in charge of exam preparations and patient instructions.
• You will utilize radiation protection methods consistently and use shielding as necessary.
• You will obtain patient history and collaborate with the Radiologist on proper contrast usage.
• You will be responsible for the post processing of data.
• You will assist the physician as necessary for all invasive procedures to provide best patient care.
• You will assist during codes.
