Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience on a 36-hour weekday day shift at Cobb Hospital. Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R certification in Radiography.
• ARRT-CT certification in Computed Tomography.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain ALARA dose.
• Disinfect rooms and report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety during the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows and collaborate with technologists to optimize department flow.
• Follow regulatory requirements and escalate issues to the supervisor.
