Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time day shift. You will perform CT procedures, ensure high-quality imaging, and provide supportive patient care in a collaborative health system environment.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year radiology experience. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R certification required.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality while minimizing dose (ALARA).
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and use two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol and with aseptic technique.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding; ensure proper immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exam retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and collaborate to support department flow.
• Support operations, keep areas orderly, and comply with regulatory requirements.
