Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a patient-centered experience on a 40-hour weekday day shift. You will work within a collaborative radiology team to optimize exam quality while maintaining radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
• ARRT-R (Radiography)
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography
• BLS (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at ALARA dose
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams
• Explain procedures and prep to patients and reduce anxiety
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when needed
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat as needed
• Complete accurate documentation in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required
• Organize daily workflows and support department flow with team
• Support operations, keep areas orderly, and comply with regulations
