Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience within Cobb Hospital. Technologists are valued team members of a collaborative care system in Georgia.

The role emphasizes ALARA principles, patient comfort, and precise documentation across RIS/PACS. Experience in radiology and CT is preferred; a full-time weekday 36-hour schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• ARRT credentials and BLS certification required.
• Completion of radiology program with CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS.
