Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures with emphasis on patient comfort and safety. You will use imaging expertise to deliver high-quality images and ensure accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.

The role requires ARRT certifications (Radiography and CT) and at least 1 year in Radiology, with a focus on great patient care, infection control, and teamwork within Wellstar’s radiology team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA with appropriate techniques.
• Disinfect, clean, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers before exams; screen for contraindications.
• Explain procedures and post-care using AIDET; minimize patient anxiety.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and complete accurate RIS/PACS documentation.
