Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures, ensure high-quality imaging, and provide a supportive patient experience. You will work within a collaborative imaging team to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficient workflow.

A strong radiologic technology background and ARRT CT certification are required. The role requires adherence to ALARA principles, patient comfort, and precise documentation in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Use technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at ALARA dose.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals.
