Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is actively seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, operate imaging equipment safely, and help maintain a clean, organized work environment.

The role requires ARRT certifications, CT experience, and strong patient communication. You will contribute to a collaborative care team, uphold ALARA principles, and support department workflow while ensuring safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 1 year radiology experience required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per dept guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and minimize dose (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules and report issues.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers before exams; obtain clinical history.
• Explain procedures and post-care to patients to reduce anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits; provide age-appropriate care.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and complete documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations and compliance.
