Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience on a 36‑hour night shift. You will perform CT procedures, maintain ALARA standards, and work with a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, using techniques to maintain ALARA dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and two unique patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture technique.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with restocking and equipment readiness.
• Support daily workflow, regulatory compliance, and interdepartmental collaboration.
