Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and exceptional patient experience on a 36-hour night shift schedule. The role emphasizes ALARA principles, patient comfort, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary care team.

The successful candidate will have ARRT CT and Radiography certifications, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Radiography and ARRT CT Certifications required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture high-quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and optimize techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at lowest dose (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Verify patient identity and orders before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol and use venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies as needed.
