Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging during a 36-hour night shift. You will support patient experience, follow ALARA principles, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate exams.

The role requires ARRT credentials, radiology experience, and BLS certification, with full-time benefits and opportunities for growth within Wellstar's integrated health system.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Radiologic Technology program completion.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders, obtain two patient identifiers, and explain procedures to patients.
• Provide patient comfort and privacy, address questions, and reduce anxiety.
• Administer contrast as protocol, with venipuncture and sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding, and ensure study finalization in RIS/PACS.
