Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

You will perform CT scans, manage contrast administration, and ensure safety, following ALARA principles and using RIS/PACS for documentation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum one year radiology experience.
• ARRT certifications in Radiography and CT; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans following department protocols and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety and comfort using clear communication (AIDET).
• Administer contrast agents, position patients correctly, and apply shielding for safety.

Job description

Role

CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality, safe imaging procedures and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans following department protocols, capturing diagnostic images with expertise.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, report issues promptly.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety and comfort using clear communication (AIDET).
• Administer contrast agents, position patients correctly, and apply safety measures like shielding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or correct as needed, and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS.
• Respond to emergencies, monitor patient condition, and support department operations, including equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum one year of radiology experience.
• Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
