Job summary

Plan A Health is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will operate imaging equipment independently, capture diagnostic images, ensure safety protocols like ALARA, and administer contrast when needed.

You will review and finalize images, document procedures accurately, and respond to emergencies, supporting departmental workflows in a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience preferred.
• ARRT R (Radiography) and ARRT CT certifications required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to guidelines, ensuring diagnostic quality.
• Maintain equipment hygiene, identify issues, and report promptly.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and screen for contraindications.
• Communicate procedures clearly, address patient questions, and reduce anxiety using AIDET.

The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They operate imaging equipment independently, capturing diagnostic images while maintaining safety protocols like ALARA. The role involves preparing patients, explaining procedures, ensuring comfort and safety, and administering contrast when needed. They review and finalize images, document procedures accurately, and respond to emergencies, supporting departmental workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to guidelines, ensuring diagnostic quality.
• Maintain equipment hygiene, identify issues, and report promptly.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and screen for contraindications.
• Communicate procedures clearly, address patient questions, and reduce anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient privacy, comfort, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast and perform necessary patient positioning and shielding.
• Review images for quality, repeat if needed, and ensure proper documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment.
• Organize workflow, support department operations, and maintain cleanliness and supplies.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
• ARTR - R (Radiography) and ARRT - CT certification.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
