Job summary

Health Care Administrators Association (HCAA) invites applicants for the CT Technologist position. The role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality CT imaging within a collaborative healthcare environment.

You will operate CT equipment, obtain histories, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety while maintaining documentation in RIS/PACS. Requirements include ARRT CT and radiography credentials, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• At least 1 year of radiology experience.
• ARRT - R (Radiography) and ARRT - CT certifications, plus BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CT procedures following department guidelines and ALARA principles.
• Operate imaging equipment independently; ensure image quality and safety.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety.
• Review images for quality; document procedures in RIS/PACS accurately.
• Respond to emergencies and support department workflows; assist with operational tasks.

Job description

The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging and supporting a positive patient experience in a collaborative healthcare environment.

They perform CT procedures following department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality while maintaining safety standards using ALARA principles.

Key duties include operating imaging equipment independently, maintaining cleanliness and equipment functionality, obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety.

Technologists administer contrast, position patients accurately, review images for quality, and document procedures precisely in RIS/PACS systems.

Additional responsibilities involve responding to emergencies, supporting department workflows, maintaining compliance, and assisting with operational tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• At least 1 year of radiology experience
• ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT certifications, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association
