Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care in a collaborative healthcare setting. You will perform CT procedures, verify orders, and maintain safety and infection control while minimizing radiation exposure.

You will explain procedures using AIDET, monitor patients, administer contrast when needed, review images in RIS/PACS, and assist with department workflows to support quality care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience.
• Certification in ARRT - R, ARRT - CT, and BLS.

Responsibilities

Job description

The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and providing a compassionate patient experience in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Key Duties Include

• Performing CT procedures according to department protocols, ensuring diagnostic image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Operating imaging equipment independently, maintaining safe practices, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Preparing and maintaining equipment and rooms, adhering to infection control standards.
• Gathering patient history, verifying orders, and explaining procedures using AIDET to reduce anxiety.
• Ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy during exams, administering contrast agents when needed.
• Reviewing images for quality, making necessary adjustments, and documenting procedures accurately in RIS/PACS systems.
• Monitoring patient conditions, responding to emergencies, and maintaining life-support equipment.
• Organizing workflows, supporting department operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications Include
