Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA, seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient care. You will work within a collaborative team, applying expertise to support safe exams, screen for contraindications, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the visit.

The role emphasizes independent operation, adherence to ALARA, accurate documentation in RIS/PACS, and effective communication with patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience and ARRT certification requirements are implied.
• BLS certification and ARRT CT are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain ALARA dose limits.
• Clean and disinfect rooms; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET and reduce patient anxiety.
• Document timely and accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies and life support equipment.
