Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group’s New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and patient-centered care. You will operate CT equipment, maintain ALARA dose principles, and collaborate within a mobile unit team to serve patients in the Augusta area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures following department guidelines to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at low dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
