Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA, seeking a CT Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will work within a collaborative team to deliver safe CT services and patient experiences.

The role requires ARRT credentials, at least 1 year radiology experience, and compliance with ALARA and infection control standards. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided, with shift differential potential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRTR (Radiography).
• ARRT CT – ARRT Computed Tomography.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment independently and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock and support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department flow.
