Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group's New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA is looking for a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care in a dynamic mobile setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRTR (Radiography)
• ARRTCT – ARRT Computed Tomography
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain low radiation dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders; use two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and postcare clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers/shielding as indicated; review images for diagnostic acceptability.
• Complete timely documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies; assist with crash cart and lifepower equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows; collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations, keep areas orderly, and complete charging/clerical tasks in compliance with regulations.
