Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA, seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality imaging and deliver patient-centered care. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient workflow within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
• ARRTR (Radiography) certification required
• ARRT CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain dose within ALARA principles to minimize patient exposure.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Verify orders and obtain two unique patient identifiers prior to exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients and address questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using proper technique.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and reprocess if needed; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock and organize workflow.
• Maintain compliance and keep areas orderly; handle charging/clerical tasks and report issues to supervisor.
