Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit based in Augusta, GA, seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will work as part of a collaborative team across Wellstar's mobile unit network, ensuring safe procedures, ALARA dose management, and accurate documentation.

Candidates should have ARRT certifications, radiology experience, and strong patient communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• 1 year of radiology experience minimum

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean and disinfect rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and two patient identifiers for every exam.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and repeat if needed.
• Accurately document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
