Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is required.
• ARRTR (Radiography) certification is required.
• ARRT CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment independently and maintain the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and postcare clearly using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and reimage if needed.
• Finalize studies in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as required.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock crash cart and lifesupport equipment.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, and report issues to supervisor.
