Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain radiation safety to ALARA standards.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients using AIDET and address questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol and employ sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with lifesupport equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.

Education
