Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, maintaining ALARA principles.
• Maintain infection control and clean/disinfect rooms and equipment.
• Verify orders, patient identifiers, and clinical history; obtain informed consent as needed.
• Explain procedures and provide patient prep and postcare guidance clearly.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using proper venipuncture technique.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and communicate findings to the team.
• Complete timely documentation in RIS/PACS and coordinate transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock and support equipment as required.
• Maintain orderly workflow and assist charging/clerical tasks in compliance with regulations.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
