Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, using technical knowledge to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders; use two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and postcare clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete timely documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS (transfers, retrievals, CDs, prior exams).
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes; collaborate with technologists/mod alities to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, and complete clerical tasks.
