Job summary

The CT Technologist role with Wellstar Medical Group's New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA is seeking professionals who deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will perform CT procedures, maintain ALARA standards, and document studies in RIS/PACS as part of a collaborative team.

This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay with shift differentials, on-site schedule typical Monday–Friday, and opportunities for professional growth through Wellstar's education

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS.
