Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days required.
• State licensure as applicable upon hire.
• 1-2 years CT experience in hospital setting preferred.
• Current ARRT (R) CT registration (Level II) required.
• fluoroscopy certification, preferred in CO."

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
• Verify patient identification and prepare the patient for the exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review images for quality and ensure anatomical structures are captured.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within department timelines without compromising care.
• Provide patient education and comfort, address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers.
• Stay updated on CT advancements through continuing education.
• Instruct students and other radiology technologists on protocols and positioning.
