Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) CT certification required at hire.
• BLS certification within 60 days.
• State licensure in practice location, upon hire.
• IV competency within 90 days.
• Fluoroscopy certification preferred in Colorado.
• 1–2 years CT hospital experience (Level I preferred).
• 3+ years CT experience (Level II) with anatomy knowledge.
• Radiation safety knowledge.
• Ability to instruct students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job.
• Understand and operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable time limits per department expectations.
• Provide patient education and address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate pertinent information.
• Stay updated with advancements in CT technology and protocols.
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology staff.
