Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification required at hire (R) or CT preferred
• BLS within 60 days, required
• State licensure if applicable, required
• 1–2 years CT experience in hospital preferred (Level I)
• 3+ years CT experience for Level II preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in clinical/technical functions
• Operate CT equipment and information systems to produce quality images
• Verify patient identity and prepare patient for exams
• Perform exams per department protocol
• Review images for quality and accuracy
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain safe environment
• Complete studies within expected timeframes without compromising care
• Educate patients and address concerns, ensure comfort
• Coordinate care and relay information to team
• Stay updated on CT technology and participate in continuing education
• Instruct students and radiology staff on exam protocols
