Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO seeks a CT Technologist (Level II) to maintain ARRT CT competency and operate CT equipment to produce high-quality images. The role requires 3+ years of CT experience, ARRT CT registration, and BLS within 90 days.

You will ensure patient safety, verify identities, and educate patients throughout exams. Shifts are three 12-hour periods totaling 36 hours weekly, with a focus on safety and accuracy in imaging.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration.
• Minimum of 3 years CT Technologist experience.
• BLS certification endorsed by AHA or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and information systems to ensure high-quality images.
• Verify patient identification and prepare the patient for the exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol and ensure image quality.
• Review images for quality and anatomical coverage.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and safe working environment.
• Complete studies within department time expectations without compromising care.
• Provide patient education and address patient concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers.
• Stay updated with CT technology and participate in continuing education.
• Instruct students and junior staff on exam protocols and equipment.
