Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Lead CT Technologist to guide daily CT operations, ensure diagnostic-quality imaging, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

You will supervise CT procedures, mentor staff, and collaborate with radiologists across a busy acute-care setting. Ideal candidates will have extensive CT experience, supervisory skills, and a strong foundation in cross-sectional anatomy, with ARRT CT certification and Texas MRT license.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience performing CT in an acute care setting.
• Five years’ CT with supervisory experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Completion of courses in CT and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Consistently produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality across ages from Neonatal to Geriatric.
• Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
• Operate CT scanner and related equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Complete quality scans in a timely manner and prioritize STAT/urgent demands.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma and challenging patients; adjust positioning as needed.
• Convey information to Radiologist performing/interpreting exam when possible.
