Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a CT Technologist for PRN opportunities in the Imaging department. The role focuses on performing CT scans, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring safety and quality in cross-sectional imaging for diagnosis.

Candidates must meet ARRT certifications, state radiologic license, CT eligibility, and BLS. Experience preferred; JRCERT/AMA training noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an educational program in radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or graduate of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent military training.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology - preferred
• One to two years of CT experience
• Licensed by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT certification in Radiology
• ARRT CT certification within six months
• Post-primary CT certification within six months
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
• One year of CT Tech experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed CT - Computed Tomographic procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in the use of CT scan equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Document information seen during exam.
• Relay relevant patient information to physicians.
• Apply radiation safety principles to minimize risk.
• Participate in rotating call schedule.
• Perform other department duties as needed.
• Participate in training and in-services.
