Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and support patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, maintain dose control, and document findings in RIS/PACS while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires radiologic tech credentials, ARRT certifications, and at least 1 year of radiology experience; a sign-on and relocation are possible. This is a full-time, on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography).
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining diagnostic image quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen for contraindications, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address patient questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care during visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or adjust as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Document accurately and finalize studies in RIS/PACS including transfers and prior exam retrieval.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.
